There’s plenty of ongoing activities in and around the area. Please inquire when making your reservations or visit www.reformer.com and check out the Thursday Art Section for the area’s current activities. There’s also an abundance of local musical & artistic talent ~ live classical, jazz, reggae, rock and country music can be heard in local bars and theaters in Brattleboro. World renowned Marlboro Music Festival ~ www.marlbormusicfestival.org takes place each July and August and is a short 10 minute drive from the farm. (Reservations are often booked one year in advance; please book room and festival tickets early to avoid disappointment).

The first Friday of each month is host to Gallery Walk in Brattleboro. Galleries, restaurants, coffee shops, book stores, inns, hotels and private homes open their doors to display local area artists work and live music plays in the streets and cafes all evening. Brattleboro Museum & Art Center is open for Gallery Walk and offers outstanding seasonal exhibits. Visit www.gallerywalk.org and check out the Thursday Arts section.

Southern Vermont is home to some of the best food offerings available anywhere. Ethnic foods, lively bistro food, barbecue, exquisite fine dining and more ~ whatever you pleasure we can lead you in the right direction. Please inquire when making your reservations.

Explore Brattleboro Farmers Market is open from May through October. The Saturday market offers local vegetables, fruits and flowers. Numerous vendors sell Vermont products: cheeses, fresh breads, pastries, gourmet foods and excellent Thai, African, Mexican, Italian, Greek & Indian foods. Local crafts include pottery, jewelry, furniture & hand made soap.

Williamstown, MA: see Modern Art at Mass MOCA, eat lunch, then visit the Clark Museum.
Hanover, VT: visit Dartmouth College Museum, then lunch at The Hanover Inn.
Quechee, VT: travel to Simon Pearce for a one-stop, excellent lunch/shopping experience.
Walpole, NH: visit St. Gaudin Gardens, then lunch at Burdick’s Cafe.
Manchester, VT: shop The Premium Outlets or visit Southern Vermont Art Museum and enjoy lunch there or at The Tavern at The Equinox Inn.
